Start at the top of the bottom tab and pull tight.   Take lace over top of button.   Repeat steps 1 & 2 until you reach the top button.   When you reach the top button, again take the lace over the top of the button, then make a loop with the lace and push it down behind the lace that goes over the top of the button, then back through D.   At this point you will pull loop over the button to point E.
