About Turtle Island Moccasins
| Greetings to all our relations:
| | |
| |
Richard (a.k.a. Atrayew) and Bhavani Polvino of Turtle Island Moccasins
(a.k.a. Earth Island Footwear) welcome you to our family of over 2,400
satisfied custom shoe wearers in just about every state of the union and countries throughout the world.
Richard is a second generation of custom shoe, boot and moccasin makers and Bhavani is a 2nd generation beader, bag and purse maker.
We are now starting our 3rd generation of footwear specialists
with our eldest of 3 sons starting to learn the craft at the
age of nine. Luke is 18 now and actively making boots and
sandals. Collectively, we are now over 12,600 pairs made.

We at Turtle Island look at the crafting of leather footwear as
'A Service to Pleasure your Feet'. We also stand in and beside our
product everyday and through thick and thin, with up to a 15 yr
warranty on the leather uppers - depending on the type of leather
and the application of the
|
footwear. Our footwear is very popular
as historical footwear, medieval reenactors and for rennaisance
fairs.
We are very picky about quality control and pride ourselves in creating each pair. I do realize that this limits us as to the number of shoes or boots
that we can produce, about 120-150 pairs per year - depending on circumstances,
which are never in our control.
Our shoes are made to last with quality ingredients.

Turtle Island is a GREEN COMPANY - we live totally off the grid, making our own electricity, and have
built our own straw bale home.
